直島で訪れたカフェ A cafe I visited in Naoshima

今回香川県の直島に行った時に夜ご飯をこの店に食べに行きました。

ここは宿もB&Bスタイルでやっていて、レストラン／カフェとしても営業している。基本的に直島では夜遅くまでやっている店は少ないけど、ここは比較的飲みができる雰囲気の遅めまでやっている店です。店内に宣伝があったけど、ダーツとかができる深夜営業の店は別にある見たいです。

家プロジェクトを見に行くのにも近くて宿泊にもいいかと自分は思いました。やっぱり、値段も魅力的だよね。

自分は遊びにいった日はこれが印象に残っていた食事：

大根のシャキシャキサラダ



美術館ももちろん直島では本当に最高だったけど、色々とカフェや小さいギャラリーも今度行く時は細かくチェックしたいね。



I wanted to introduce a cafe that I visited while I was in Naoshima in Kagawa prefecture.
I went there on my motorcycle so I didn't get to try out any of the local drinks but thought it'd be a pretty cool place to hang out and drink.

The local stores close pretty early so there's only one store that's actually open until pretty late (a darts bar that I can't recall...)

Maybe I'll have more time next time to check out the other smaller galleries nearby next time.

朝ご飯を食べて、これからまた出発だ！ Finished breakfast and now back on the road

今日で直島を出て高松の方に向かう。ここではかなりゆっくりできて、美術館もゆっくりみれたから、新しい曲もたくさんかけた。



今日の朝ご飯はバイキングスタイルで、好きなものをたくさん食べれた。オリーブが沢山あるのは凄く嬉しかった。


横のオムレツ。アメリカ人的な悪い癖で、ついケチャップはつけ過ぎてしまう！これは気をつけないと全て食べる味がケチャップに、、、、

今日もまたいつものジンクスが炸裂で、距離を移動する日という事で、雨が降り始めた。雨が大好きな人で本当に良かったと思う。796(俺のバイクね)はどう思ってるやら


So now I'm about to leave my hotel and head out of Naoshima to Takamatsu. I had a great time here, and was able to write quite a few new songs!

Finished breakfast, and now to ride through the rain again! I gotta stop using so much ketchup by the way... Anyway, it's always raining when I go for the long-distance rides... good thing I love the rain. I can't say the same for my trusty Monster...

昨日の宿。I stayed at a small inn Kuraya

昨日宿泊したのは、
Kurayaというギャラリーもカフェもやっている、渋い感じの民宿だった。オーナーと凄くたくさんの話ができて嬉しかったです。アートに関する話から裁判員制についてまで、、幅広く！
I stayed at this place last night called the "Kuraya". Really cute place with a small gallery and cafe. The owner and I talked for hours about everything! She's Japanese but from of all places... Oregon!




こんな雰囲気の場所なのでDucatiのL twinがうるさくてしょうがない感じです。涙
The Ducati L-twin is embarrassingly loud on this quiet island town....

Today I walked around this installation called the ie-project renovating old houses into works of art. My favorite is the James Turrell house... sensory deprivation.... LOL

なんとなく直島について自分の気持ちを音にしてみた。
フェリーにのっている時の感じを表現しようとしてみた。

I don't know why but decided to write out a tune about how I feel tonight.
The song's called "Ferry" it's kinda how I felt when I was looking out into the black sea....
