Woddy Funk Release concert

昨日はかなり熱いライブをSoul Gloバンドと一緒にしましたぁ！最高に楽しい時間で、本当にこのバンドやバンドの仲間達と共演できて感謝です。


Shibata Tomomi, Ohga, Woddy Funk と凄いアーティストが集まって一つのイベントになった事が嬉しかった。




上の写真ではウッディの後ろから撮影してて右にYoshiki on sax、その下の写真では、キーボードのRyuくん、ギターのShu, コーラスのayumiさん、




この写真は自分のとなりでビートを叩いてたHiroyuki!

他にはDancer Mina, 7Ka, DJ Brother M, DJ Mai, Angello Yuri!

全体をまとめたYuriさんも本当に最初から最後まで不確定要素も多い中たくさんの事をバランスとりながら大変盛り上がるイベントをまとめたのは凄い！

会場の方々も、撮影スタッフ、プロモーションにご協力頂いた皆様も、今回参加したこのバンドもメンバー全員が色々な役割をこなし、こんなに良い仲間がいてこそ実現した事が多いです！
実は、今回のステージでは音響も全部バンドがやり、



自分はアンプの上にミキサーを組んで、調整したり！！

ライブ終わってもかなり会場はにぎやかで、





なぜか片付けのバタバタで俺はRyuくんとしか写真を撮れず、、、！！
でも、本当に最高に楽しかったなぁ！DJ組の掛けてる音楽のおかげで、ずっとみんな踊ってたし！

今回のイベントでもたくさんの事を皆からも学ぶ事ができて、絶対次回は更に素晴らしいショーができるはず！

Amazing show for Woddyfunk's release party at the Neo Masquerade in Shinjuku!

I got some photos from onstage that night! The first photo was taken from behind Woddyfunk! She was a getting the whole crowd singing and dancing and had some great showmanship...!

We got the whole band, Shu, Ryu, Yoshiki, Hiroyuki and me on stage playing as the band for Woddyfunk, Tomomi Shibata, and Ohga.

Also on stage was the wonderful singer Ayumi, dancers Mina, 7Ka, DJ and producer Brother M, DJ Mai, and event producer Angello Yuri!

It was one special show that couldn't have been so successful without the support of so many other staff that helped us make the event a very very special show!

The band did the PA and stage audio setup so it was pretty crazy setting up and keeping things on track but I know I couldn't have done this without the help of the other guys! Thanks so much for helping make this happen!

I missed the photo op with the other band members but hey got one photo with Ryu!

I'm sure the next will be even more amazing!!!

リハーサル続きから、レコーディング。lots of rehearsals and recording

May 13th Mondayに代官山LoopでLisa Halimのベーシストとしてライブをします！

そのリハに向けて気合のアサイジュース。笑





これはLisaが投稿してた写真！良い構成！

On May 13th at the Daikanyama Loop, I'll be playing bass for Lisa Halim! It's a really special show for me since I really like her lyrics too. Not to be biased or anything but since I help her out with some of the lyrics I guess I do have some insight into the message of her songs.

なかなか曲を聞いているイメージとライブ向けのアレンジが違って一回だけのリハでは完璧にはすぐ出来ないけど、ミュージシャン間のフィーリングから生まれる新しいプレーやフレーズかかなり楽しいし、好きなアーティストをサポートできるのは本当に楽しい。

最近そういう機会にも恵まれていて、その機会を与えてくれている周りの仲間に感謝！

It's hard to get everything perfect with just one rehearsal but the chemistry between the performers is something that makes each live performance really special!

Really grateful to have so many opportunities these days to jam with so many great players. Hope to keep my chops up so I can play with these guys more.


これはまた別のライブに向けてのリハーサルで、自分がまた積極的に参加しているバンド、Soul Glo。バックバンドとして、色々なシンガーのバンドとして今度5/31にライブをします。

そのサポートするシンガーの1人は自分の高校の後輩、Ohga! こうやって今も付き合いがあるのはスゲー嬉しいね。

Another band I've been devoting a lot of time too was Soul Glo. We're doing a live show on the 31st of May. We're a back band for many great singers. One of them Ohga...! We go back to like high school...! Amazing that we're on the same stage now!

今日はちなみにThe Lo-Fiとか、自分の他のプロジェクトの曲のレコーディングもして、明日もまた朝はから一日レコーディング！なぜか俺のドラムをレコーディング！お楽しみに！


Today I was recording tracks for Lo-Fi and also for some of my other projects...! Here I am at the Onkio Haus again with our awesome engineer Shige!

朝練！ Morning practice

結局朝までこいつを引き倒した。
アンプもボロボロだし、ベースもフレットが残ってないし、シールドは割れてるし、、、笑



Kept on shredding till morning today!! Had a lot of songs to cover for this morning's practice with the Soul Glo band...!
yup... very silly name...!

My amp's got a busted channel, frets on my bass are worn out, my cables are cracked....




got here pretty early so I decided to go for a walk to buy some batteries for my bass... yup my bass needs batteries!

結構早い時間についたから、少し散歩して電池をベースように買ったきた。







2 x 9V batteries to power the pope power amp on the fodera

9ボルト電池を二つ消費するプリアンプをフォデラは積んでる。






かんなツルツルのベース裏はなかなか簡単に外せない。

pretty tough to remove the panel on the back of the bass...




this suction tool helps remove the back...!
この吸盤でパネルが外せる！
