Keep on smiling... 新しいビデオについて

So the long awaited video was finally uploaded and shared!

"Keep on smiling"…..

A lot of work was put into making this video, and we really hope everyone enjoys the beautiful beaches and energy we got from the island that we put into the music.

We did all of the recording and writing on Iheya Island Okinawa.

It was a beautiful experience and definitely one of the most memorable!

I know that it’s not obvious from the video, but the recording of the sound was done on location as we were filming the video. This was an attempt to try something new to get the FEEL of the vibes we got from the island into the sound.

With all the beach wave sounds, to the ocean breeze….  all on the tracks we mixed together.

The song is about something really simple. Being happy.
Being happy is another story… not so simple….!

Keep On Smiling という新曲のビデオがついにリリースしました。

夏の終わりに撮影に入って、どの映像や音を使うか選択して、編集やミックスの作業を色々と頑張った結果、本当にいい映像を作る事ができました。

今回の曲のタイトルの意味は 「笑顔を絶やさないで」という意味で、
曲のテーマは「今を生きる」「環境に振り回されない」「幸せとは」 

映像はとにかく気持ちの良い感じを強調して作成しています！

撮影の特徴は、映像を撮影したカメラで実際流れている音も同時に収録しているというリアルな感じをとても大切にしてます。

２３台のカメラ（Sony HDRMV1）を時には同時に使って、映像撮影と同時に各楽器にまた別途複数台のカメラを取り付けて録音をしている。

詳細はまた今度紹介します、、、、

今日はいい天気！ Great weather today!

今日は逗子のサーファーズでこれからライブだ！

と言っても、よるの20:00時からだけど。

朝はガッツリ食べてしまった、、、しかも朝ビールまでしてしまった！

夜のライブが楽しみだ！

ゲストもかなり豪華で、sax/flute で Yoshikiさん、Vocalsで Reddyoが参加します。メインの鍵盤はRyuchi!!

伊平屋島 Iheya Island ... Filming

本島でしばらくドライブしてからフェリー。

After a long drive on the mainland Okinawa island we got on the ferry to Iheya island

到着はかなりワクワクした。
撮影チームの Ichi と Tatsuro も見ての通り、盛り上がってます。
The team Ichi and Tatsuro were definitely psyched to finally arrive. Especially in such awesome weather.







メチャクチャ海は綺麗。

山も綺麗。

Everything is strikingly beautiful... but

しかし、暑すぎる。
もう撮影をするのがギリギリな感じ、、、、

it's very very hot. Too hot to be singing in such weather mid-day....





今日はいいカットがたくさんとれたから、明日も頑張る！

we got some nice shots today so in a few hours we'll be leaving for some more takes!!

先日のライブの写真 Photos up from some recent shows

All the issues that were making me pretty busy related to the accident have settled down. Now I’ll probably have some more work to do after Ive completed all of my rehabilitation. It’s really strange but after long hours on the desk my left hand is really numb. (My muscles work fine, but the sensation on the outside of my hand get’s really tingly… ) Doc says I’ll be fine with more rehabilitation so.. oh well!

最近は少し落ち着いて来て、事故の話も通院が終るまで特に進展はなさそう。

リハビリの状況としては結構調子は良くなっているが、デスクに長い時間向き合っているとやっぱり左手がしびれてくる。これは神経の問題じゃなくて、筋肉の問題？らしい。ま、という事できっと気付いたら治っているでしょ。。。

前にfacebookだけでアップロードした写真をブログでも紹介しようかと。

This is the setlist from yesterday's show at the Juke Joint!


It was our first performance with Saori but it was a lot of fun how she approached the songs! I wish we had more time to jam together!

今回はサオリさんと共演するのは初めてで、かなりアプローチも楽しかったので、もっと一緒にジャムしたかった！


今回はバックステージでいつもライブを見に来てくださるファンからプレゼントも頂きました！本当にありがとうございます！

今回のライブは面白いカメラ HDR MV-1(ミュージックビデオカメラ)の撮影もはいり、公開できる映像ができたら公式のSONYのYouTube Channelでも紹介予定です！

For this show we had some interesting cameras there to film. The HDR MV-1 from Sony. It's their music video camera and the performance should be shared by their YouTube channel when the video is ready! Not the whole show but some of the clips from the performance!

a bit hard to find...! but great venue!

少し会場は探しにくかったけど、気持ちの良い場所だった。





もっと演奏したかったけど、お客様の終電や音止めもあって、二曲けずりましたが、また今度のライブはゆっくりやりたいな。


We had two more songs we were planning to jam on but for this occasion we were worried about our customer's last train and also the sound curfew of the venue so maybe next time for the other two songs!!!

If you want more at a show, let us know then and there! We'll play more if you want more...!

もっと聴きたい時は会場でアンコールでもなんでも、声をあげてもらえれば可能ならガンガンやるよ！

また次のステージが待ち遠しい。

今夜は気持ちがいい。Perfect night

今日は朝から天気はどんよりした感じだったから、昔撮った綺麗な夕日の写真をかわりにのせてみた。

先日は今週金曜日の夜のライブのリハーサルもしたし、本番が待ち遠しい。

このライブは時このときに延期になったのもあって、楽しみにしてる。

Juke Joint という会場も初めてで、結構期待しているんだ。

今夜はまたJazzと散歩。
気温がちょうどいい。

The weather was gloomy in the morning so i decided to upload a photo from a nice sunset i saw a few months ago.

Amazing how time flies.

People and your environment... relationships change all around you.

Its all so nostalgic for me i guess since i miss a lot of things in my past. not that I'm unhappy or anything. It's just that we can't get any younger or go back in time.

Anyway had a great rehearsal with the band and looking forward to a great show on Friday at the JukeJoint

京都は最高だった！ Kyoto was amazing!

９月１４日の土曜日は朝の９時頃からでて、本当に一日頑張って移動からリハーサルからライブと京都のライブは大変だったけど、最高だった！

September 14th was a really long day traveling to Kyoto, rehearsing with the band there, and doing a late night show…. but it was an amazing show!

 

ライブ会場の METROも絶対またライブをやりたいすばらしい会場だった。

The venue itself was really great too. I can't wait to go back there again to perform.

Here's DJ SUWA who invited us along with B-Bandj to be the band for FUTEN…! 

この写真はDJ SUWA、今回ライブでB-Bandjと一緒にFUTENのバンドとして The Lo-Fiを誘ってくれました！

Great guy!  本当にいい人で一緒にイベントできて嬉しかったです！

今回は鍵盤はRyuchiくんに入ってもらい、

Ryoji also on the keyboards…!

一緒にSaito Ryojiも鍵盤で入ってくれました！歌も歌ってくれました！最高！

 

今回は天気の悪いなかでのライブだったけど、満員になった会場のライブは本当に盛り上がって楽しかった。

This time the concert was performed in some really bad weather but we had a full house for the event and it was great…!

 

FUTENのバックバンドをつとめて、一緒にジャムセッションやコラボできて、この特別なイベントに参加できた。

このイベントは毎年FUTENのオリジナルメンバーであったドラマーの追悼ライブ。

彼も自分と同じバイカーで、バイクで亡くなられたという残念な話を聞きましたが、こうやって多くの人が集まっているのをみて嬉しかったです。

The Lo-Fi played as the band for FUTEN. We jammed and we were able to do FUTEN songs together and it was a real privilege at this special event!

This event is a tribute event for Fujitani-san who is the original drummer for FUTEN. He too was a biker and it meant a lot to me that we were able to play for his show.

It's great that so many people came here in his memory.
