先日はいつもと違うバンドで渋谷の Star Loungeでライブをやった。

The Lo-Fi としてAlicia Saldenhaのサポートメンバーを務めた事のある。

今回は彼女をメンバーに入れた、The Lo-Fiとは結構違うサウンドのバンド「Sshg!」のライブをやった。

 

まだまだオリジナルの曲を作ったりしないと行けないけど。初ライブとしてはいい感じのステージができたので、嬉しい。今度のライブは５月頃だとおもうけど、新曲も準備して挑みたいね！

 

On Thursday I had my first show with my new band “Sshg!”. This band’s vocalist is Alicia Saldenha. She’s played with us before with Lo-Fi and we’ve also been her band as well.

The approach to the songs are very different in this band compared to The Lo-Fi.

I look forward to doing another awesome show in May or maybe June.
We’ll probably have some new songs ready and also look forward to get some videos up for the band too.

２月６日（木）に渋谷の Star Loungeで新しいバンドの初ライブ？をします。
初ライブと言っても、いつもライブをやっている仲間と面白い事ができないか挑戦。

いくつか昔やっていた曲もアレンジして交えて、カバー曲もやりAlicia Saldenhaも
ボーカリストとして迎えて一緒にライブをします。

Show on February 6th 2014. 自分のライブをまた久しぶりに

最後にライブをしたのは9月頃かな。
それ以降は何だかボヤッとしていて、体調が悪かったせいか、、、なんか大変だった気持ちと焦る思いが強かった。

でも、大変な時は助けてくれる人がいて、その人達のおかげで今はまたそれなりに元気になって、自発的に動ける気がする。

何かしなきゃ、このまま内向的になる一方だと思うし、無理にでも何か楽しい事と思ってライブをブッキング。

2月6日に渋谷の Star Loungeで Lo-Fiでお世話になっているサポートメンバーを中心としたバンド Sshg! (シーっ！) でライブをします。

ドラム、(Murakami) Hiroki
ベース・ボーカル、(Hirose) Goh
メンバー名の頭文字を使ってバンド名を、、、ありがちなパターンでごめんなさい。

My last show with Lo-Fi was in September 2013. Since then... to be honest things have been really down-hill. Everything was a blur and all I remember was the sick feeling I had of being nervous like crazy most of the time.

Anyway, when I was having a tough time, many people helped me out and that's why I feel so much better now after a busy year end. (Feeling busy doing nothing but panicking rather....!)

First it was out of the blue that I decided to book my own show. But now I feel it's appropriate that I play my own music again... after this long silence.

Well... long for me at least.

So on February 6th 2014, I'll be doing a show with the usual support members for Lo-Fi at the Star Lounge in Shibuya.

We called the band "Sshg!" pronounced "Shh!" ... yes very generically named with the first letters of our names.

Hope to share more about the event soon.

昨日の夜のライブ＠Star Loungeは本当に楽しかった！

今回はゲストでキーボードにGaku Tajima をフィーチャーした特別なライブをしました！

こんな雨の日に来てくださった方たちにも大変感謝しております！！！

なんだこれ！？と思う様な映像。

 

ビビった！こんな現象はどうやって起きるのか！？

 

しかも、ハンマーで割れないようなガラスはなんで割れないのか？？

 

 

実はちゃんとビデオ内でこれも解説されています。。。。

しかし、それを表現するビデオのキャラが可笑しい。

 

Amazing video a student showed me during a lesson today! It's really amazing some of the things that happen naturally….!

 

What's awesome about this video is that it goes into detail about how this all works…. The super-slowmotion cam is also something that makes this all "visible" too. 

 

色々な現象も凄いけど、その裏にある原理を知る事によって、色々なシステムが似ている事も感じられて凄く面白いと思う。

 

本当に世の中は不思議な事が多くているも新しい事を発見できたりするが楽しい。

実は今日もこの画像を出会ったのは生徒と話しているときだった。
教えている時でも沢山自分は学ぶ事ができていると感じる事も多々。

 

 

今日はちょっと前にやっとすこしおちついたからブログを書こうかと。

最近はなんかCDのリリースの話が多かったけど、ちゃんと曲の紹介はゆっくりできていないからそれを積極的にしたいね！

リハ終わった！！HMV目黒店 The Lo-Fi at HMV Meguro

Meguroのatre(アトレ)の二階中にあるHMVに今日は挨拶に行きまして、そこではHip-Hop x Reggae x Ska X Dub のコーナーにいれてもらっていました！

After rehearsal Yosh and I dropped by the Meguro atre HMV cd store!


早速コメントを記入して、今回フィーチャーして頂いたコーナーにあった曲を選曲してオススメにヨシが書いて見た！

Here they had our CD in the Hiphop Reggae Ska and Dub section... very cool
so in our comment card we added some tracks for this corner





色々な店舗でこの作品が並んでいるのは本当にうれしい。

(English Post below) 四月にJazzy Grooveリリースをしてから、都内で最初にライブをしたのがStar Lounge。
FreeasyBeats, Dan Baker, B-Bandjなど楽しい仲間と一緒にライブをしてきたこの会場は本当に特別で嬉しい。
今回はしんアルバムからの曲もいくつか演奏した。Fortitudeというアルバムで、やっぱりタイトルのように少し重めの曲が多いライブになったかもです。
Carpe Diem という曲は今を大切にする価値観について伝えていて、いかに自分が過去に縛られていたり、未来に不安を感じていて、今を充分生きれていないかを疑問に思って書いた歌詞。やっぱり人間はよくも悪くも想像力豊かで、なかなかただ感じて生きることは出来ない。
The World Is Yoursと言う曲は人々の世界は自分次第で変わると言う事がテーマの曲。周りの出来事は変える事はできなくても、皆は捉え方を変える事が出来る。世の中の見方が変わる事によって実際起きている現実も形が本当に変わっていくというメッセージ。
良く自分の生い立ちや過去の話を人にすると"大変だったね", "苦労したね"と言われるが、自分はそんな意識は全然なく、経験した事しか知らないので、普通だと思ってる。しかも、幸せだと感じているから、幸せは周りの出来事ではなくそれの捉え方だと強く思って書いた歌詞。
また次のライブでも新しい曲をやるのが楽しみだ。ぜひ皆も見にきて欲しい。

We did our first show in Tokyo after our new release at the Star Lounge in Shibuya.

It's always nice to play at this venue. This is the place we got to meet and play with great musicians like Dan Baker, B-Bandji and FreeasyBeats. We opened the event that night (but only because of soundcheck time problems) and played with three other bands.

We did some songs off our upcoming album Fortitude. Carpe Diem was one of the songs we played that night. I wrote the lyrics thinking about how much of the past we end up dragging along with us when it doesn't really help us perform better in the "now". On the other hand many of us live in fear or in preparation of disaster in the future. It just seems like many of us lose perspective that "now" is the only time that is real and that the rest is just you imagination.

We plan to release the album soon. I was just out yesterday seeing my engineer who is working on the album. Hope to have the news of the album soon!
