今日はリハーサルが１４時から入っていたと思ったら、実際は１３３０時からのリハーサルだった。。。こういう時は早めに到着して作業をして準備しようとする姿勢が役にたつ！

 

さて、別のアーティストの話ですが、前にThe Lo-Fiとコラボレーションをしようと頑張っていた大好きなアーティストがいます。シンガーのLISA HALIMです！

今回は"Acoustic Soul"というイベントなので、流石にThe Lo-Fi全員では参加できないのですが、自分がベースで入ります！

何か自分が特別な事をするわけでもないですが、The Lo-Fiのコラボの代わりに自分のベース参加になったので、凄く嬉しくて。

やっぱり自分もシンガーなので、フィーリングが合うシンガーと一緒にステージにたてるのは本当に楽しい。何故か一瞬頭の中にはB-Bandjが現れた、、、笑

彼のバンドのコラボも今度企画しないとな。。。！

さて、今から打合せとレッスンが２４時までぶっ続けだぜ！頑張ろう。。。

But, finally I got a call a few weeks ago about doing a show together with me joining as a bassist for her acoustic performance at the Daikanyama Loop!

 

We just played there on the 26th with The Lo-Fi and I'm really keen on getting back on stage there! I really enjoyed the sound there.

 

Anyway the venue is the Daikanyama Loop

It's 2300yen for advance ticket reservations and 2800yen at the door plus a drink fee of 500 yen.

 

Concerts in Japan I think are pretty expensive. I wonder why they don't just try and make money off the bar, but I guess the tenant fees to keep your venue going are just so high that that would never work. It's unfortunate cause I feel less people will have the incentive to go out and see a show.

Most venues have pretty good sound, but some of the "old school" "LIVE HOUSE" venues in Tokyo still sound like they only cater punk rock and thrash metal. I hope the music industry and live music scene can make a come-back among more of the non-music business affiliated consumers as a form of entertainment.

I think the way performances are approached or how the music is mixed plays a big role in changing this outdated format of doing concerts. The more non-traditional type of venues are where I want to be playing more, but unfortunately most of the time you'd have to sacrifice the sound quality, which is also a shame.

Anyway, gotta get back to work with some meetings and teaching till midnight!

かなり賑やかで盛り上がっている Shibata Tomomiのライブを！


次には The Cubes企画の特別なイベントを代官山のループで！

Today I started out the morning with a meeting in Sendagaya then a meeting with a cover band in Ebisu.

Afterwards some desk work at home and a quick cake break...!


Then off to a concert with Shibata Tomomi performing!

Now I'm at The Loop in Daikanyama where The Lo-Fi will also be performing on the 26th.

Watching the Osaka-monorail and then back to Vuenos to see Sweep perform and back to the Loop to see Ryoji play with the Cubes!

(The campfire at night with great music and food is just perfect. I can't wait to perform here again!)

ツーリングでチョロっといくのにも実は完璧なスポット。

東京から行くなら実はアクアラインから行って、峠を少し楽しんでから到着できるルートもある！

宿泊情報もここにある。ちょっとキャンプっぽい感じで楽しめる。

(It's also a great place for touring bikers. If your riding from Tokyo taking the Aqua-line and going through the twisties into Izumi-shi might be a good route to take. Going from Chiba will be boring expressways only...)

友達のバンド Jemstoneと一緒にコラボレーションライブを４月２６日に開催するけど、

このライブの最後には熱いセッションを二つのバンドを組み合わせて行う事が決定！！！

どんな感じで何を演奏するかまだ打合せをしているけど、もしかしたら特別な曲も登場する可能性が大。

(My friend's band JEMSTONE is playing with us on the 26th and we've decided on some ideas for the ending jam session! You might get to hear some rare songs that The Lo-Fi hasn't performed before…! Look forward to something really special!)

４月２６日のライブ The concert on the 26th of April!

おはようございます！

最近は風が大変だったり、花粉で大変な毎日ですが、天気が良くて俺は結構ご機嫌な毎日です！

大変な事は色々とチャレンジとして人生にはポツポツ登場しますが、友達が言ってくれた大事な言葉を思い出します。


God never gives you what you can't handle!

神様は一人一人に適量のチャレンジを与えてるんだなと、人が乗り越えられない程のチャレンジは目の前に置かれないと。


直向きに一つ一つこなしていく事が大事ですね。


さて、皆さまにお知らせしたかったのは、下記のライブの日程が決定し、イベントの詳細もどんどん決まってきましたと！おかしな事に３月２３日の土曜日（明日！）のライブはまだ詳細が決まっていません。正直音響もどんな音響か、持込みかも分かりませんが、無料チャリティーイベントなので、あまり気にしてません。お客様にご迷惑をお掛けしたくないですが、何か分からないことがあったらtwitterででもご連絡ください。@lofi_soul_jpn が日本語のLo-Fiアカウントです！

Good morning people! I hope your doing good. Tokyo is really dusty and the pollen is almost life threatening ;) but at least the weather is great!

There's been a lot of new challenges for me these past few months but I'm keeping myself focused on my goals. I always remember some good words a friend shared with me "God never gives us what we can't handle". I take these words to heart. I sure that someone else has said similar word in a different phrase, but I understand the message nonetheless.

Anyway here's an update on our concert on the 26th of April. We've finished shooting the promo videos so we should be uploading the edited videos soon for the event. They include interviews and I hope to add English captions to the interviews too!

撮影終了！ Finished the shoot!

さっき撮影が終了した。

今日は代官山のループでSHUとMEYOUさんと（JEMSTONE）のメンバーと一緒にライブの告知用の映像を撮影。

４月２６日のライブは代官山ループで主催いたします。今回のライブのテーマはLife=Loveという熱いテーマで楽しみ！

人生は本当に愛という大きなテーマでくくると一瞬単純思考すぎるように思う人もいるかも知れないけど、

色々な世の中で起きている災害から戦争やら隕石の墜落や人類が始まった切っ掛けとか、全て理由等も何も無く、ただ起きている事が多い。全てに意味が無いと感じしてしまう事もあるだろうけど、意味がある無いとは別な場所で人とのつながりや自分が大切に思う何かが人生を豊にしていると考えている。

そんなこんなで撮影を無事終って、こんな家の近くでも９８で茂木で練習したトレールブレイキング（リア）を練習しながら移動。本当にバイクは楽しい。もっと多くの人にバイクの楽しさを感じて欲しい！

今を思いっきり生きている気持ちに慣れて、音楽もバイクも世界も最高。

 

さてと、夜のリハーサルの準備だ！

土曜日２３日はチャリティーライブをしますので、告知ページには自分らの名前すら記載されていないけど、友達を助けるためだし、、ま、いっか！是非遊びにきてください。

Finished with the shoot in Daikanyama for a promo vid we're making for the April 26 show.

We did the shoot with Shu and Meyou from Jemstone. They're both really cool musicians and I'm really looking forward to performing with them in April. She has a  theme for this event we're doing called "Live=Love". It seems a little superficial at first but if you think about it, nothing in this world really "means" anything. We just add value to things that happen or people say because of these emotions or feeling we have for certain things. Anyway, today was great for riding!

Today I've been moving around on the 1098 again, even though Daikanyama isn't really that far away from where I live. I've been working on that trail-braking technique since Motegi. The rear brake is really hard to use if your not careful.

Now I better get ready for tonight's rehearsal with Lo-Fi!

 

We also have a show coming up this Saturday. If your in the Tokyo Area, please drop by. I'm helping a friend raise money for charity at the Foreign Correspondent's Club in Hibiya.

家に戻ってこれからまた譜面起こし！ Back home… ready to write out some sheet music…!

レッスンと、打合せも全部終了してやっと家に戻って少し食事が。

帰りの交差点でピントのずれた写真をもってみたので、少しいろをいじってみた。。。こういう写真は俺が大好きだ！



今は色々なバンドのサポートの仕事もしているが、やっぱりメインのThe Lo-Fiのライブはファンの思いも沢山聴いてきているのでなんか凄い気合いが入る。４月２６日のライブの打合せもして、かなり共演バンドのリーダーからパワーを貰いました。

なんかこういういい感じの出会いがあると、いいイベントになる気が凄いする！！！

会場も代官山のループで、かなりいいスポットで楽しみになる。。。。

後でもう少しイベントのアレンジを考えてみよう。

すげーコラボ、、、があるかも！

This show is going to be really really cool!

I'm really looking forward to this show because after talking with the band leader of the band we're going to play with… I got a really great feeling about the vibe for the show.

It's great to talk with people that give you good energy.

I gotta do some chart writing now, but I hope to put more thought into the show that's coming up.

I can't wait to rehearse with some special guests we're going to have in our band on the 26th!
