バイクいじり。Changed grips!

今日は早速遠出しようかと思っていたが、色々とオイル交換する時にドレインプラグが取れなくなって、ショップに相談してかわりにやってもらった。。。笑

was supposed to go out riding today but had trouble removing my oil drain bolt. Totally stripped the damn thing and had to come to the local garage to get it off.


昨日はすり減ったグリップを交換もした！前のはジェルが入ってて防振でありながら、かなりグリップ力もあって最高だったけど、消耗しやすくてね。

last night I spent some time changing the grips on my ride. the old Gel grips were really great functionality wise but after going through two of them I decided to get the Rizoma Sportline grips.




こんな感じで中身の色々まですり減っちまった。

really cool design and I thought they were more durable. To be honest I don't like how the grips don't have rubber near the center of the handlebars but is still cool.

これはまぁ、使い勝手は少し下がるけど、頻繁に交換することはないでしょ。

今回はパイプカッターで、ハンドルも短くノコギリしました！モンスターはハンドル幅がハーレーのように広いからね。

after removing the old grips and changing them to the new ones I cut the handle bar shorter to match the grips.


スロットル側はちょっと余裕を持って切った。後で面取りしないとな。

でも、幅はあんまり変わっていないし、見た目も別にあんまり変わってない、、、、笑


not much difference but hey, I had to change the grips anyway!
そろそろ作業終ったかな、、、、


now the oil change should be done....
