Victor Wootenはベーシストというよりはリードプレイヤーとして気に入っていて、アーティストとして色々と新しいことにチャレンジしつつ、生徒達に色々と教える先生の姿勢も大好きな人です。
彼の教習ビデオも昔のはむちゃくちゃな教え方から最近のはちゃんと科学的に説明しているスタンスの変化や達人の先生としての成長も勉強になる。
彼の音楽もとても個性的で、ベースのリード楽器としての可能性を冒険している。ベース好きにはめちゃオススメ！！
Takin' some time today to catch up on some magazine articles I've been meaning to read!
I subscribe to Bass Player Magazine, and love it. I don't understand the local Japanese bass magazines very much. It seems like they are only aimed at young musicians who are just starting out.
This month's issue features one of my favorite players.. Victor Wooten. More than his role as a bassist in bands, I love how he is as an artist and lead instrument player. His growth as a teacher too is something interesting to focus on. I've seen some footage of seminars and video clips he's done in his early years of his career, and being a young master that he was even back in the day... he's grown to be a great teacher and inspiration to so many students! it's cool to see how he does things now in comparison to the past.
If you like the bass sound, definitely check out Victor Wooten. He explores all kinds of possibilities for the bass!!!
