初乗り First ride!

今日はかなり久しぶりのバイク。
色々と体はまだ完全じゃないけど、少し近所を走って見ようと、今日の夜のライブ会場まできてみた！



昼はかなり暑くなりそうだけど、朝はまだ気持ちがいい。




コーヒーのみながら、考えてた。

やっぱり死ぬかも知れない大きなクラッシュがあると少し乗るトラウマとか抱えるのかなぁとか。
もちろん、前にもクラッシュはあるからどんな風に向き合うのかはわかる気がするが、やっぱり走るのは最高に気持ちがいい。

バイクも久しぶりで、エンジンがかなり不調 笑

ゆっくりとリハビリだね！
今夜のライブに向けてあと少ししたら、準備開始だ。

Came out for my first ride in almost a month!

It's a great feeling to be back on the bike again. But I'm definitely going to take it slow for now. Went out into the neighborhood to a local bakery where I'll be performing tonight.

The weather is great today. I'm sure it'll get hot in the afternoon but the morning is perfect.

I wonder if I'll be able to take that corner I crashed on the same way I took it before the crash. Crashing on anything can be traumatizing and it's damaging not only on the body but also the psyche.... Some people even give up riding.

Im glad getting into gear and in the saddle again felt so comfortable. Despite my monster being crazy unstable in idle and revving down... it was a great way to start my day.


Now to get ready for the show!!!!

今日は久しぶりに It's been a while

今日は久しぶりにバイクに乗れたかも。前までは2日も乗れない日があったら気分も機嫌も相当悪くなる自分だったけど、幸い音楽の仕事で忙しいから、なんとか3日間のらないのを乗り切った！


きょうはなんのていれもしてないひどい髪の毛を良い加減切りにでてきました。




たまに交通にまた揉まれて走るのもやっぱりたのしいな。



今日はスーパーデラックスでライブがよるあるんだけど、会場入りは確か夕方だから曲のアレンジを考えなきゃな。

I'm finally back on my motorcycle again after a few days of craziness.... The longest I've been off my bike is when I'm doing my music thing...!

Of course that's not a bad trade off when you consider how much you get back when doing music..

I really do miss the saddle though and had to ride today before my show!

Nori and I we're gonna play the Superdeluxe again with super drummer Hiroki Murakami and super guitarist Sho Ogawa since Yosh is off to Hawaii for a different performance with his Japanese "Taiko" crew.

Being mixed into the daily rush hour traffic chaos of Tokyo isn't as stressful when your on two wheels. It's like a battlefield especially on rainy days, but today just feels perfect! Gotta watch out for Shirobai if you know what I mean...!

Gotta come up with some song arrangements now

名古屋から東京へ戻ってきました！ Back in Tokyo from Nagoya

今日は朝出発してトイレとガソリンの休憩以外はせずに東京に戻ってきました！また、仕事生活に復帰です。
バイク旅行の後半は東名を走行しながら週末に一気に増えるバイカー達の見学がとても楽しかった。


自分のセットアップは最初から最後まで、Kriegaのtailpack US-20 と US-10 x2 の組み合わせでやってきました
このテールパックも完全防水のカバンで最高に使いやすいです。どんなバイクにもくっつくし。結局スーパーバイクにもこの同じバックを取り付けて使っている。

肩がけもUS-20のバックはできて色々な鞄の組みませができて便利です。

ちゃんと休憩したのは一回で、浜名湖のサービスエリア。ここのサービスエリアは景色もいつも奇麗だね。


今日は三連休というのあって、バイカーも多かったです！やっぱりハーレーは週末走ってる事が多いと俺は認識している。
いつもグループで走ってて楽しそう！
旅の途中は俺は熱もだして疲れてしまったから、今日はゆっくりしてから仕事をしよう。

Finally got back to Tokyo from Nagoya. This is a three day weekend, so the expressway was really crowded. Was fun seeing more bikers out there riding though. I have a feeling that there are a lot of Harley Davidsons that get out on the weekends. They're usually in groups and they look like they're having lots of fun!!

Took my longest break at the Hamanako service area where there's an awesome view of the lake.
My bag setup for this trip has been the same as usual. Two Kriega US-10s and one US-20.
They're completely waterproof tailpacks that fit on virtually any bike. Easy on and off too.

Ducati Nagoyaで作業待ち Waiting at the Ducati Nagoya garage

昨日はゆっくり寝たら頭痛も減って、改めて体調不良は疲れだなぁ、、、って実感！笑
今日はバイクのタイヤがツルツルになったので、死にたくない為新しいタイヤに！自分の心はワクワク。でも財布は落ち込んでます。


今日は相変わらず寒い一日だけど、天気が良くて気持ちがいいね。
ショップの方と一緒に新しいムルチストラーダについて色々と話をして、なんだか全国ライブ＆ツーリングができるようなバイクが欲しなったりして！
ムルチだったらアンプも後ろに積んで、ベースの再度パニエの場所に代わりに載せる事もできるんじゃないか？？
頑張って世界初のバイク移動でツーリングしながらライブしていく感じの活動をしてみようかな。。。。！
今日はこの後はホームページ関連の仕事を頑張るぞ！夜は作曲の時間があるといいな。

Great day today in Nagoya. Killin' time at the Ducati shop in Nagoya while I wait for the guys to change my tires. The tires I have on now are at suicidal levels….!!
I'm crazy about my new tires, but my wallet feels otherwise. Oh well!
I spent a great deal of time chatting with the store clerk about the new Multistrada. Really keen about the Grantourismo model with giant panniers and the engine guard.
I've never done the camping thing before, but really want to try it someday. Maybe withe Multistada, I'll have enough horses and space to put on an amp and bass on my journeys? That might make me the first touring bassist motorcyclist on a Multistada…. hopefully… LOL
So… now for some web related work… hopefully I'll have time for some song writing tonight!

ついにリリース！ Our new music video is online!

これです！ The Lo-Fi の最新アルバム Fortitude から Departure という曲のミュージックビデオをアップロードしました！長い時間がかかったけど、なんとか曲のイメージを映像にできました。今回は待望の日本語訳もついています！！！

Here it is! The Lo-Fi's new music video for the song "Departure" from our new album Fortitude.
It was a long time coming but I think we were able to put together a picture that goes well with the lyrics.


撮影は懐かしいかったな、、、カメラマンとスタッフがこの写真は写っています。
中央にあるのは手作りのクレーン！カメラマンはすごい！まだ彼のサイトは無いみたいだけど、完成したらまた紹介します。

早朝の江ノ島で撮影をした時もなんども同じルートを通りながらカットをしていました。

本当に寝不足のなか皆すごい頑張ってくれて感謝しきれません。

実は今回の撮影を色々している直前には大雪で、、、果たして撮影できるのかとみんなで話していました。しかし、今回は氷を上手く避けながら頑張って撮影しました。

雪以外にも実は裏ではトラブルがありました、、、この赤いバイクはDucatiの1098Sというモデルですが、、、欠陥が色々多いのです。今回は直前にラジエターが割れてしまい、交換が本当に本当にギリギリでした！

撮影チームと二台ともバイクは頑張ってくれました！

These few photos are a photos from the shoot itself! We had our cameraman build a homemade crane for some of the shots and we all got up at like 2AM to get to the shoot location. It was only a few days after the big snow storm in Tokyo so we had to keep as much of the snow as possible out of the frame...! Also was a big challenge dodging the ice patches while doing the riding.

始まった！ And the journey finally stars

適当に出発した旅がやっと始まった。なにも準備してないくせに、今日は何時間も準備ばかりしてた気もする！
Finally started my long trip to nowhere! (at least no destination but south for the moment)

I spent too much time preparing nothing, but at least I'm in my way now!


こんな寒い日の日曜の夜だから、足柄のバイクの駐輪場には一台もバイクはいなかった。

really cold tonight when crossing the Hakone mountain area, so there were no other motorcycles in sight.



地図をみるとまだまだ東京出てすぐの伊豆の上あたりに到着。

思ったよりも山を登ったから寒くてはなみずも出てきた。

自分にしては珍しく今回はかなりの荷物を積んでしまってる。長く飛び出してるのは実は持ち運びようのギター。流石にベースは持ってこれなかったので、ギターで作曲予定。

it's rare I lug so much stuff around on a bike trip, but this time I've come out to write some songs.

曲を書くきっかけは本当に色々とあるけど、今回は目的地の特に決まっていないこのたびのなかで作ってみようかと。

inspiration for song writing comes from many places. This time I've decided to spend my trip thinking about music and concentrating on writing.


最近はモーションブルーのライブも終えたばかりだし。何か曲が生まれそうな気が凄くする。

Since we just finished a big show at the Motion Blue in Yokohama I think it's good timing to change things up a bit to get the creative juices flowing!
