今日は久しぶりにForest Jamに出演！

特別なイベントで、PRIMROSEのレストランのリニューアルイベントです。

更におしゃれなスペースになって、めちゃくちゃ快適！本当に手作りな店なので新しい外層をみて感動しました！

 

今日は車がまだThe Lo-Fiはないので、ライダーでもあるAくんにドライブしてもらっています。

かれはオフ車にのっているので、自分のバイクとジャンル違ってもライダートークは楽しい。

九十九里の少しさきになる Nakadaki Art Villageに到着して、さっそくヤギさんにであった！

体も態度もデカくなって面白かった。

ヤギさんが今日のオーガナイザーと頭突きバトル！「ステージは私のだ！！」と、、、

うーん、気持ちは凄いわかります。

こんな感じで森の中でやっている。

雨も優しく降っていて。。。なんか最高に癒される空間だ。

なんか、こんななかで音楽できるのは幸せだ

 

しかも一緒に今日出演する Shamanzがトリオとして！最高。。。！

 

このまま、合同のバンドセッションができそうなのになぁ、、、、！

We haven't played at the Forest Jam for a while now, but it's a privilege to play today at the Primrose restaurant renewal show!

Today we had someone drive us to the show since we don't have the van anymore and the driver happens to be a rider too! He rides off road motorcycles but regardless of genre it's always fun talking about bikes.

It's a bit rainy but it was great to meet the goat that lives on the venue again! She's fatter and even more stubborn than before… LOL

We did a sound check and short rehearsal, and next is a photo of the band we're playing with today.

They're called the Shamanz, but today they're playing as a trio without bass.

They sound great!!! Can't wait for the show tonight!

このライブは本当にいいジャムができたなぁ、、、沢山の人に応援されているから、辛い時のなんとか頑張れる。インストの曲だから、歌が無くて本当にアートよりのパフォーマンスだけど、これもお客さまからの反応が沢山あってすごく嬉しかった曲です。

I think this performance was a memorable one from Lo-Fi in 2012.... It's really great to have people behind us on songs like this where it's all instrumental. The popular music scene is filled with singing... so it requires a tiny bit of guts to keep doing this song live. It's got a good feel though, so I know we'll keep doing this song live!

先日のライブは本当に楽しいライブでした。5月20日に恵比寿のBaticaでバンド+DJのミックスイベントに出演しましたが、小さい編成のトリオで結構ジャム曲も披露できていつもと全然違うLo-Fiの一面も見られたのではないかと思います！

We did a show at the Batica in Ebisu on May 20th. It was a good show, where we did a pretty long set with some new songs too. We actually did a jam on an instrumental song that I came up with a while ago.

Lo-Fi was part of the exPOP event at the O-Next in March.
Here's a photo shot by the event that night. We did the show with AO on guitar and the usual trio of 5 on bass/vocals, Yosh on drums, Nori on keys.

明日の予言

明日は俺は今日のライブから疲れて起きて、

少し外を散歩してから  大好きなTrocadero Houseのライブ準備をする。  

その後友達からメールが着て、

開始時間とかを聞かれながらライブのセットリストを直前になって変更とかしながら

「昨日は暖かかったのに。。。」と思っている。

天気は曇りで、少し雨ふりそうだから機材を運ぶのが不安だと思うのだ。  

車に荷物を積んでから、携帯電話を部屋に忘れて来るから、

また上にもどってエレベータで凄い待たせられる。

でエレベータを出るととなりの人とすれ違って軽く会釈をする。 

 やっと車に戻って出発。

意外と外は涼しくなっていて気持いい！  

今日のライブがどんなお客さんが来てどんな音になるのか想像しながら会場へ向う。。。。  

まぁ、続きは来てのお楽しみという事で：

Bogaloo 1月２９日(木) ライブ情報

１月２９日は Bogaloo で開催される音楽イベント"Soul Trip Garden" に参加します。

こんな感じで当日のライブが表示されている。。。。なんかコンセプト不足な気もするけど、

WaSaBi!等は既に共演した事もあって良いバンドだとオススメしたいですね。

このイベントは各バンドの集客を努力してもらって運営している形のライブスタイルだと思っていますが、

イベント運営はライブハウスを借りて各バンドの個別ライブを順番にやっている感じが今はあるので、

Lo-Fiのメンバーで頑張って盛上げて行きたいですね。

実は以前にも Soul Trip Garden には出演させて頂いていまして、この会場や非常に積極的な店長が好きで

イベント TSUNAGUもここで開催する事にしました。

残念ながらまだこの二回目参加する Soul Trip Garden のコンセプトや方向性は打ち合わせ出来ていません。

他のアーティストとも直接話しをするのは当日になる事が殆どなので、まだ日にちはあるので店長を通じて

コンタクトを試みたいと思う。

小さな要素からでもせっかく店長が自らブッキングしてくれたライブをもっと良いものに、もっとお客様が

楽しめて繰り返し参加してくれる物にして行ければと。

今はバンドにノルマが課されて「会場費」をカバーできるようにイベントを運営する事は主流になっているけど、

イベント自体に一体感が無いと３０分の好きなバンドの演奏の為に２５００円＋５００円交通費＋５００円ドリンク＋軽食10００円で合計4500円と半日を掛けて費やす事になってしまう。それが本当に自分が注いだ物以上の価値があって特した気持になれたら最高だけど、そうならない状況も多いと思う。友達がライブをするのを見たい、とか知り合いを応援するという形では上手に回っているグループもあるからそれはそれで美しいバランスだと思う。

お客様がバンドメンバーと友達じゃなくても、ライブの世界観や空間そのものが楽しいから「このライブハウスの常連客」になる人達の必要としているものを提供できないとビジネスは厳しくなる一方だと感じてしまう。

自分が参加依頼を頂いている Soul Trip Garden はせっかく誘われたのでそれだけの思い入れをいれて Bogalooと Bogalooのファン達にも特別なイベントに Lo-Fiと一緒に出演するアーティストを通じて成長させれたらと思っているんだ。

早速店長にも連絡してみるんで、もしまた親展があったらブログにアップするね。いいイベントアイディアはcoliberationやTSUNAGUで積極的に取り入れているけど何かアイディアがあったら是非教えてください。

Hey everyone how's it going?

This is 5 (pronounced "Go") from Lo-Fi.

This is actually my first post in English. 

Since I live in Tokyo I guess it only natural for me to do my best to post in Japanese right?

Well since we've got a lot of fans out there that dig our music who are English speakers I decided why not update my blog in English sometimes.

This year was really crazy for me and my band, because we had so many things going on at the same time and also our personal lives were very... hmm interesting as well.

We've had divorces, some layoffs, emergency hospitalizations, cancelled record deals, and all kinds of other stuff that probably wasn't as bad cause I can't remember them very well. ON THE BRIGHTER side, we've gotten some VERY good material for our next album, which is actually our FIRST FULL ALBUM.

The album will be available internationally when it's released (no dates yet sorry....)

but here's some links to our official site and myspace where you can check out our songs from our first mini album "Low-Fidelity"(they can be purchased from itunes next year JAN in Japan and later in the month in the US and Europe we're still working on other areas)

I'll be looking forward to updating this blog sharing some thoughts or info about our gear and whatever in English.
